New Years!

It is almost the new year! On New Years Eve, (today) we play games and watch movies until' midnight. It used to be hard for me to stay up that late but now the time goes too fast. I want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean but.......

What Is The True Meaning?

A thing I've noticed is that the true meaning of Christmas is lost so often. So many people are focused on gifts and getting new things. Not that getting gifts is a bad thing, but it is not, and should never be, the focus. And the movies that are made that are suppose to teach the true meaning aren't even teaching the true meaning. They teach that being with family and giving is the true meaning. They take the focus off the gifts but they don't put the focus on the right thing. Family is important and teaching to give is nice, but it is still not the true meaning. So what is the true meaning? The true meaning of Christmas is that Jesus came down to be born as a baby, and that one day he would die for our sins so that we might be saved. He died for our sins. Our sins! Think about that for a moment. Really think about it. Our Lord came and died for us! One should never forget the true meaning of Christmas. It is so special! So it is terrible to see so many people lost in gifts and money and not knowing or caring about the True Meaning.

Our New Dog!

Today we got a new puppy! His name is Gabriel or "Gabe". He's three months old and he is the Cutest thing in the world!

Sleepover!!!!!!

I went to a sleep over at my friend Kelly's house. My friend, Rylee, was there too. We stayed up until 2:00 am! I still haven't recovered. * yawns* We watched movies and the three of us ate 2 pizzas. Cheese and green olives, yummy. * licks lips* In the morning we spent the time talking, walking down town, looking at books, playing the piano, and singing our lungs out.


It was soooo fun and we plan on doing it more often.

My faith rests not upon what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what he has done, and in what he is now doing for me. The Bike Route

Sophie and I like to go on the bike route. It is really fun and it goes all over town.

Fall

Can't you just feel fall in the air? It's still warm and yet fall is there, however faint.
How sad. I love summer best. It's when you can go swimming and go barefoot. (I think going barefoot is the best.) Fall is, of course, nice too. It's when you go walking and you hear the crunch of leaves under foot. And the smell of leaves is wonderful! But fall means winter and winter means coldness. ( which means no going barefoot.)
But when winter is here and the lovely snow starts falling, and I get used to it, I will love it too. Just, when it first starts coming, it's kind of depressing. All the flowers dying, and the grass, and the leaves are no longer there to rustle in the wind........

I went riding!

This past Saturday, I went to a sleepover at my friend's house. She lives on a farm. After we ate, one of the girls there said she had to go home and ride her horse but she would be back. She lives at the next farm and we were able to go with her and ride too. I have never gone riding before, but have always wanted to, so I was very excited that one of my dreams was coming true. When we got there they brought out the horses and brushed them off and put the saddles on. The horses' names are Coffee, Mooner, and Ruby. We got on and started to ride. There were three horses and five girls so I had to ride with another girl. She rode in front but when we turned around to go back she let me ride in front! We kept them at a walk most of the time but a few times we loped. I was very sore after that and I still ache a little but I am glad I got to ride and can't wait to do it again.

Dad has his own business going. He resurfaces steps and sidewalks and things like that. Well, he got a job making a walkway for our neighbor.


























He colored the cement
to match the shutters
at our neighbor's request.

My job was to fill the
buckets with sand.

He did an imprint on the cement to make it look like slate rock.

So Nice!
